What are the European Central Bank (ECB) exchange reference rates?

The ECB reference rates are usually updated around 16:00 CET on every working day. They are based on a daily public procedure held between central banks across Europe, which normally takes place at 14:15 CET. Visa uses these to work out what the cost of your purchase in another currency will cost that day.
