This could take a little longer if any additional actions are needed on the account.
These could be returning any funds to you that have been overpaid, or requesting a further payment if further transactions have cleared on your card since you requested your account to be closed.

What about my credit report information?
If you're waiting for your credit report to change, this can take up to 8 weeks after the date your account is closed. This is because we send this information once a month to the credit reference agencies, who in turn have to update their own records.
If you've waited more than 8 weeks, you'll need to contact the credit report provider you are viewing your information from. They will contact us directly if they have any concerns.
